Chasing my tail

What I think I am right now..... is just a thought!
Where is the objectivity?
What am I outside of the mind's frame, outside of perception, outside of a concept?
No use pondering on this one (as much as the mind would like to).
It's futile! That will only perpetuate the process.
Note to self: Just keep watching.... getting underneath.
Who/What is watching?

as one of my favorite teachers put it… “you are the observer and the observed.” wrap your mind around that golden strand.
Sounds about right! :)
Right on. That's the trick isn't it? Realize you're chasing your tail…good on ya, mate!!!
Keep watching and Love One Another
“Behind every dark cloud is an even darker cloud” - get ready for some of the not-so-blissful/joyful/loving “feelings”. It gets worse as the mind screams out to “do” something once this stuff starts coming up :( Be diligent and have a firm resolve to “sit” in it…
Mmmmmm, very well said - your words help me to feel the truth of this, just as my mind cannot truly understand it. Meditation, relentless self-examination and questioning of motives, and cultivation of the witness state (while, paradoxically, at the same time feeling through our experience - never separate) and, above all else, an open heart…..all keys to releasing these blockages between us and our true nature. I am reminded of a quote by Sri Daya Mata (current leader of the Self Realization Fellowship):
“For a short while the immortal ray of light that is our soul wears a perishable mortal garment…but for all eternity the soul is sustained by the Infinite Source of that light. The more we meditate, the more we feel that consciousness. And the less we meditate, the less able we are to transcend identification with the little self – so many pounds of flesh encasing a limited mind bound by sense perceptions to the troublesome environs of the world. We have to get to the Self beyond its physical and mental instrumentalities to realize we are not fragile mortal beings; there is an unbroken link between ourselves and the Beloved Mother of the Universe, the Divine Consciousness flowing through and permeating Infinity.” –Sri Daya Mata
I love you and I have incredible respect for your bravery and tireless pursuit of freedom, love and truth. You are truly an inspiration to me. Thank you for this post (and thank you even more for being you)!
